The latest edition of AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 is here. The update brings us up to version 19.4.2, and ushers in optimizations for this week’s big releases; Anno 1800 and World War Z. The latter game, launched yesterday on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC through Epic Games Store, receives a significant performance boost with this AMD driver if you’re using a Radeon VII or Radeon X Vega 64 graphics card.

In the company’s testing with World War Z, when compared to the 19.4.1 driver, the new Radeon Software Adrenalin 19.4.2 driver had performed up to 24% better on Radeon VII graphics cards, while delivering up to 19% more performance on Radeon Vega 64 cards. Although these results are only for two products from AMD, the frame rate boost should apply in some form to the entire GCN graphics card lineup.
