Epic Games Store made its debut for the general public at The Games Award 2018. ‘Hades’, produced by Supergiant Games, was one of the first games to arrive as an exclusive to the Store in December 2018. However, ‘Hades’ exclusivity is coming to an end as the deal between Supergiant and Epic Games is about to end. It will be released on Steam on December 10th this year, almost a year after its arrival to the Store.
‘Hades’ will remain in Early Access once it arrives to Steam. Supergiant Games even dropped another ‘Hades’ trailer out of appreciation for the game’s up and coming Steam debut.
Until now, Hades has already received six major updates. And many more updates are on the way as Supergiant promises to offer updates within 8-week interval. The studio says it has more than doubled the amount of content that was available at launch.
‘Hades’ is a roguelike dungeon crawler. The game starts with players as a Zagreus, son of Hades who is the Greek god of the underworld, attempting to escape his father’s shadow. In order to escape the underworld, he has to reach Mount Olympus. However, he isn’t alone in his quest and mythological heroes such as Achilles, as well as most of the Olympian gods, support him in his quest by offering gifts to help him fight the beings that protect the exit from the Underworld.
