The next-gen gaming consoles, Xbox Series X and Series S will cost you Rs 49,990 and Rs 34,990 respectively.

Yesterday, Microsoft on Twitter, announce the Xbox Series S, which is going to be the smallest Xbox ever. The pricing was also expected to be $299. If you convert it to INR it would cost you around 21k. But sadly that is not the case.

The price is set to Rs 34,990 for the Indian market. The flagship model i.e is the Xbox Series X was obviously going to price much higher. The consoles will be released on 10th November in India.

Microsoft is aiming to sell the Xbox all access memberships along with the new console so they retian their customers. Also this will help them in boosting the sale. Subsciption services in gaming has become a new trend now. And actually it is good. Instead of shelling out Rs2000-Rs4000 for a single game, you could get a library of 100+games for Rs2000-Rs3000 per annum.

According to reports, both the consoles will get Xbox All Access plans in global markets, which will give you the new console, as well as a host of gaming access including “over 100 high-quality games to play on console including next-gen Xbox Optimised games, over 100 high-quality games to play on PC, an EA Play membership to play more than 60 of EA’s biggest and best console and PC games, and over 100 games to play from the cloud.”

The pricing for the all access-membership is expected to $24.99 for two years for Xbox Series S. and $34.99 for two years for Xbox Series X. Don’t know about whether Microsoft will bring this scheme for Indian users or not. If they do, don’t convert the dollars to INR and try to predict the price. It would be higher. Just like the cost of Xbox Series S is.

The Xbox Series X will have an octa-core AMD processor, with 16 gigs of RAM. It would support gaming at 8k resolution, it will also have an optical drive and 1TB of storage. Talking about the Xbox series S, you can read the specs and features here.
