Tfue overtakes Shroud as the King of Twitch

Ever since Fortnite star streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Belvins switched streaming from Amazon’s Twitch to Microsoft’s Mixer, there has been a race going on between ‘Shroud‘ and Fortnite streamer ‘Tfue‘ to be the most followed streamer on Twitch.

On Tuesday, Turner “Tfue” Tenney, finally overtook Shroud and become the most followed Twitch streamer. He now has 6.8 million subscribers as compared to Shroud who has 6.8 million subscriber count. However, both are still way behind Ninja who had 14.7 million subscribers when he was a Twitch streamer. Furthermore, Tfue is currently the 2nd fastest growing streamer, gaining almost 81,000 new followers following Ninja’s switch from Twitch to Mixer. Currently, the fastest-growing streamer is Fortnite World Champion winner Bugha who has gained almost a quarter of a million subscribers. Tfue currently leads in the number of hours watched with approx. 9.6 million as of August 27.

However it would be worth watching if Tfue keeps gaining subscribers to maintain that top spot since Fortnite’s viewer count has been seen depreciating over the past few weeks. Shroud, on the other hand, has been seen playing a variety of games including PUBG, Apex Legends and also World of Warcraft Classic which has gained popularity pretty quick since it was launched earlier this week.
