Adobe launched Photoshop for iOS earlier this month. The app was not perfect, it came with some basic features. Fans were asking Adobe to add more features to the app. It looks like Adobe has heard from the fans. The company is planning to add new features soon.

The company is developing an AI-based subject selection tool and will roll out the new feature by the end of the year. Select the Subject uses the Adobe Sensei AI machine learning technology to enable you to automatically select the subject of an image to speed up complex selections. According to Adobe, there is no other app in the App store that uses the AI technique.

The version that photoshop launched for iOS had compositing, masking, and retouching tools. The company said these features are “core to almost any Photoshop-based project. Along with the new feature, Photoshop will have a new cloud document system. The Photoshop cloud document format is optimized to save only the incremental changes made to the PSD, making it the fastest way to work across all the devices with Photoshop.

By the first half of 2020, Adobe is planning to add new features to the app. The app will have Refine Edge that will make complex, soft edge selections, Curves and Adjustment Layer Options, Brush sensitivity and Rotate Canvas. The brush sensitivity tool is already available in the Adobe Fresco app
