Microsoft’s Your Phone app has been steadily making it easier to keep your eyes on your PC and your hands off of your phone with new feature updates. Your Phone app has now received a number of useful features over the last few months, including the ability to sync SMS messages between your phone and your PC and it even allows you to mirror your Android smartphone on your PC.

Your phone app will from now on start showing notifications from your phone on your PC. As Vishnu Nath, Director of Program Management for Microsoft’s Mobile Experiences shows in the attached screenshot, notifications you’d normally receive on your Android phone will now arrive in a “Notifications” section of the Your Phone app, whether it be Twitter, Messenger, or any other app on your phone. A handy aspect of the feature is that dismissing a notification on your PC will also dismiss it on your phone, and vice versa. Vishnu Nath shared on Twitter today, the company has already begun a staged rollout for the new feature among Windows Insiders.

Your Phone team seems to be slowly making headway towards the future it promised back in October of 2018 where the app would organically meld the workflow and continuity of a users smartphone and PC in a fashion similar to, if not, better than Macs and iPhone. As the feature is only rolling out in stages, some Insiders may need to wait a while before they can test it out for themselves.
