Amidst the ongoing counting of votes for Haryana polls, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda addressed a press briefing in which he explained his party’s stand.

He also expressed optimism about the upcoming results and said that his party will get a majority in the state. The leader further urged the opposition parties to come together in order to oust the ruling BJP government in the state.

The leader said that “People have rejected the BJP“.

Haryana state went to the polls on October 21 for its 90 assembly seats. Counting of votes is underway today. according to the trend, a tough fight has emerged between the ruling Manohar Lal Khattar government and Congress party. Dushyant Chautala-led Jannayak Janata Party has also performed well with leading on 10 seats.

Bhupinder Singh Hooda also said that the parties coming together in the Congress alliance will be given the due respect.

Bhupinder Singh Hooda won his seat from Garhi-Sampla Kiloi constituency.

Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Kumari Selja also iterated the confidence in Congress party’s future in today’s results.

Earlier in the day, Deepnder Singh Hooda also addressed a briefing and accused the saffron party of indulging in pressurizing independent MLAs to join the party.
