Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday held a meeting on internal security with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other officials on internal security at Ministry of Home Affairs.
While many other officials including Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and Intelligence Bureau chief Rajiv Jain were also present in the meeting.

NSA Ajit Doval had on June 3 was rewarded with cabinet rank in the Narendra Modi‘s new government. The post has been given to the NSA for his contribution in the national security domain.
Doval will be now a cabinet rank for the next five years along with his present post of National Security Advisor. Doval earlier also visited MHA after his appointment.
While earlier on June 4, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with External Affair Minister S Jaishankar, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharam and Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Amit Shah was inducted in the Cabinet and rewarded with Home Portfolio by replacing another stalwart of the party, Rajnath Singh. Singh has been given the charge of Defence Ministry.
Soon after assuming the charge as Home Minister, Amit Shah on Saturday held a meeting with Officials. He also met the Governors of many several states including Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi, Jammu and Kashmir Satyapal Malik, and others.

Shah elected to the 17th Lok Sabha after registering a massive victory in terms of vote margin. Shah defeated Dr. CJ Chavda of Indian National Congress with a heavy margin of 5.55 Lakh votes from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Seat.
