Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis-led Maharashtra government on Tuesday increased the monthly remuneration for all the freedom fighters from India’s National Movement, Goa Mukti Sangram or Marathwada Mukti Sangram.

‘State Government has increased monthly remuneration for all freedom fighters, be it for India’s freedom struggle, Goa Mukti Sangram or Marathwada Mukti Sangram. We salute and remember all the heroes for gifting us this day’, tweeted CMO Maharashtra quoting Devendra Fadnavis.

In another tweet, Chief Minister Office added, ‘We are also giving pension to Misabandis. We feel that it is not only financial assistance but a matter of respect for their role in preserving values of Indian Democracy. We will ask all Collectors to expedite all pending cases’, CMO tweeted as quoted saying by Fadnavis during Maharashtra Assembly question Hour.

He had earlier during question hour said that his government is committed for providing water to every household. ‘We are going to deliver water to every house by a piped method with Marathwada water grid’, he said.

Earlier on June 18, Maharashtra Government presented an additional budget for 2019-20 and proposed ₹500 crore for modern weapons, instruments. Apart from this, the State Finance Minister giving importance to farmer distress allocated ₹12,000 crore for irrigation sector, while ₹350 crore proposed for micro-irrigation.

The State government in the additional budget has allocated ₹200 crore for OBC Corporations, and ₹600 crore is proposed for research for four agricultural universities of the State.

Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expanded his state Cabinet inducting 13 more ministers including Former Congress Lawmaker Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil as the Housing Minister while Jaydutt Kshirsagar been given the charge of Employment Guarantee and Horticulture.
