Prominent Telugu actor Mohammad Ali Basha, known as Ali popularly, joined YSRCP on Monday, at Reddy’s Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad, in the presence of Party President Jaganmohan Reddy.

Also, Devineni Chandrasekhar, belonging to the Devineni family and is a relative of Andhra Minister Devineni Uma, joined YSRCP.
The Devineni Family is considered to be very influential in the Vijayawada City, since the tenure of Devineni Nehru.
Devineni Nehru joined the TDP(Telugu Desam Party) under NT Rama Rao in the early 1982.
Ali also told reporters that he would campaign for his party and is keen to see Jaganmohan Reddy as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Both this additions in YSRCP is considered to be very helpful to YSRCP.
Comedian- turned politician Ali is considered to contest from Vijayawada West seat, whilst Devineni Chandrasekhar is likely to support Party’s Vasant Krishna Prasad, candidate from Mylavaram Assembly.
Previously, there were reports about Mohammad Ali Basha joining Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena.
On being enquired abut the same,Ali said that in Jana Sena there wasn’t a concrete assurance of his political career.
He added, “Jagan asked me to come and join and he will be there for me.”
Also, previously, Telugu actor Prudhvi Raj also joined the YSRCP and became the state secretary of the party.
Previously , many leaders including Pandula Ravindra Babu, Amalapuram MP, Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna, Anakapalle MP, M Srinivas Rao and leaders like former MLA, Challa Ramakrishna Reddy, amongst many others, joined the YSRCP.
Also, former MLA and film actress Jayasudha, joined the YSRCP by meeting the Party Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond residence.
Jayasudha contested on Congress’s ticket and won the elections in 2009 from Secuderabad, becoming the MLA.
Simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha 2019 and Andhra Pradesh Assembly are scheduled on April 11.
