DMK chief M K Stalin on Tuesday hit back at Tamil Nadu State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President and Tuticorn parliamentary constituency candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan’s claim that DMK has been in talks with Bharatiya Janata Party. Stalin said that he will quit politics if the claim was backed with proof.

Soundararajan earlier said that Stalin and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao meeting did not turn fruitful. She added that “it is true that on one side it is Rahul Gandhi on the other side it is K Chandrasekhar Rao and then Narendra Modi. Everyone knows that DMK changes colors and they are speaking with someone and establishing a connection with Bharatiya Janata Party.”

MK Stalin also said that the result of the Lok Sabha elections 2019 will be a befitting reply to Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Previously K Chandrasekhar Rao and MK Stalin held a meeting in which sources said that K Chandrasekhar Rao proposes third Federal front at the center excluding Congress and BJP after the polling in a post-poll alliance. However, MK Stalin and DMK being the UPA led Congress supporter invited KCR to join the Congress alliance after the election results. It is expected that DMK will support the prime ministerial candidate of Rahul Gandhi because of the relations of DMK with Congress.

542 constituencies in 28 states and union territories went to polls in the 7 phases of Lok Sabha elections beginning from April 11 to May 19. The last phase of the Lok Sabha elections is left and 59 constituencies will vote in the phase. The vote counting will be done on May 23 and the election results are announced on the same day.

The Congress is contesting in 10 Lok Sabha seats across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and DMK are in alliance with the Congress left parties.
