Rahul Gandhi takes lead of “Gandhi Sandesh Yatra”; Delhi echoes with slogan “Mahatma Gandhi Amar Rahein”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi joined the party’s “Gandhi Sandesh Yatra” today in the national capital. The Yatra has been organized to spread the Gandhian ideology.

The yatra began from the Delhi state Congress office Rajiv Bhavan situated in Deendayal Upadhyay Marg and headed to Rajghat. The party workers were seen shouting slogans- ‘Mahatma Gandhi Amar Rahein‘. In the march, a tableau of Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram and his iconic wooden spinning wheel were also spotted today.

Thousands of Congress activists have joined the march wearing white clothes and Gandhi caps on their heads. Earlier, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi was supposed to lead the march but Rahul Gandhi took the lead instead owing to her health reasons.

Taking to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi also paid his tributes to the father of the nation.

According to the reports, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra may also lead the march in Lucknow to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary.

On today’s eve of Gandhi Jayanti, BJP has also launched it’s ‘Gandhi Sankalp Yatra‘ that was flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
