Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt on Monday joined her sister Priya Dutt in her campaign trail for Lok Sabha Polls 2019. Wearing a white kurta, Sanjay and Priya held a roadshow on Monday. Sanjay Dutt galvanizes support for her sister who is contesting on Congress Ticket from Mumbai North Central Seat of the state.
The actor on the occasion asserted the confidence of winning the seat. As quoted by India Today Sanjay Dutt said, ‘I wish my sister very best for the exam (Lok Sabha Polls). He added, ‘March Ahead and win’
Earlier, last month Sanjay Dutt clarified in a response to speculations about him contesting polls. ‘The rumor about me contesting for the Loksabha elections is not true. I stand with my country and in full support for my sister @PriyaDutt_INC. I urge everyone to come out in maximum numbers and cast their vote for our nation!, ‘ the actor tweeted on March 25.

Earlier this month, Sanjay Dutt was seen with his sister Priya Dutt during nominations to be in the fray from Mumbai North Central seat. Dutt in a run-up to the general elections is taking on Bharatiya Janata Party’s Poonam Mahajan.
Priya Dutt won from the same constituency – Mumbai North Central in 2009 but lost to BJP‘s Poonam Mahajan in 2014 when the Congress-NCP combine lost all seats in Mumbai in General Elections 2014.
Priya Dutt first entered Lok Sabha from Mumbai northwest Lok Sabha Polls in 2005 by-polls following the death of his father Sunil Dutt. Sunil Dutt served as the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports for a brief period. He had won Lok Sabha Elections many times since 1984 from Mumbai Northwest Parliamentary Seat.
General Elections have already started and would spread on all seven phases starting from April 11. Maharashtra has a total of 48 Seats and will go to polls in four phases starting from April 11, then on April 18, April 23, and April 29.
