Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj destroyed the batting line-up of South Africa.

India was touring South Africa for T-20I, ODI, and Test matches.

The T-20I series got tied as India won the ODI series 2-1.

After that, South Africa won the first test match, and it was time for the second one.

Match Details

The second test match was going to be played in Cape Town.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first.

South Africa First Innings

Aiden Markram and Dean Elgar opened the innings for South Africa.

They weren’t able to give a great start to their team as Mohammad Siraj started to take wickets from the start.

He started to take wickets in frequent overs as Jasprit Bumrah also joined him and started to take wickets.

One by one, all the South African batsmen were coming and going back to the pavilion.

Siraj was unstoppable in the first innings, and going on, he took a haul of five wickets.

Mohammad Siraj took six wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar took two wickets each.

With their outstanding bowling, they stopped South Africa at a score of just 55 runs, which is the lowest total for them against India in a test match.

India First Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for India.

Kagiso Rabada took the wicket of Jaiswal in the starting itself.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill handled the situation as they formed a short inning.

Burger didn’t let the partnership last long as he took the wicket of Rohit.

After their partnership, the knock by Virat of 46 runs took India to a total of 153 runs.

India lost six wickets in just eleven balls as Kagiso, Lungi, and Nandre took three wickets each.

South Africa’s Second Innings

Aiden Markram and Dean Elgar opened the innings for South Africa.

Mukesh Kumar gave them an early breakthrough as Jasprit also started to take wickets.

Jasprit started to take frequent wickets as Aiden was scoring runs from one end.

With his knock of 106 runs, he took South Africa to a total of 176 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah took a haul of five wickets and a total of six wickets.

India Second Innings

India needed 79 runs to win the match as Jaiswal and Rohit opened the innings.

Jaiswal was looking outstanding, as he was playing great shots but losing his wicket.

In the end, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer made India win the test match.
