Making a mess of a simple situation is in the hand of the person. That’s what we witnessed last night. Chasing a total 167 is not that easy but if you required 30 runs in the final four overs it’s as easy as it sounds. Last night, the viewers of the IPL witnessed one of the biggest turnaround in the t20 cricket history.

It was Delhi capitals who won the toss and elected to field first. The host started miserably as they lost the KL Rahul early. Playing as an All rounder and added as the replacement for Chris Gayle, Sam Curran promoted up the order. He was looking very promising but got struck in front of wicket by Sandeep Lamichhane.

Later, it was Miller and Sarfraz who took the responsibility and made 43 and 39 respectively for their team. Mandeep’s handy 29runs helped Punjab to post the total of 166 on the board.

Delhi capitals’ started miserably as they lost their wicket from the first ball of their inning. It was Iyer and Shikhar Dhawan who took the responsibility and kept the scorecard ticking. Both of them were removed by the Punjab bowlers in quick session. later, it was Rishabh Pant and Colin Ingram who took the responsibility of Delhi. Both were doing tremendous job but Shami snatched 2 wickets in the 17th over of the game.

It was Curran and Shami who had given the responsibility to take their side home. They both were spot on with their Yorkers and change of pace. Then it was Curran who got the hattrick by removing harshal, Rabada and Sandeep in his over. From 144-3, Delhi were bamboozled by Punjab for 152 runs.

For his heroics Sam Curran was adjourned Man of the Match.
