Oyo, India’s fastest growing hospitality chain, on Wednesday, announced that it is ready to on-board over 3,000 employees across multiple functions in six months.

The massive hiring spree by Oyo, has been announced in order to accelerate its next phase of growth in India.

Whereas, the company said that the development is aligned with its commitment towards investing ₹1,400 crore by the end of 2019 in India and South Asia business. The employees will be recruited across multiple functions, including business development, operations, service, sales and enterprise partnerships, it further said.

“With the addition of over 3,000 employees over the next six months (H1 2020), we are reiterating OYO’s commitments towards adding value to the country’s hospitality industry by continuing to provide a great experience at an affordable price to guests while building strong relationships with asset owners,” Aditya Ghosh, CEO (India and South Asia) at OYO Hotels and Homes, said.

The SoftBank backed hospitality chain Oyo was started by Ritesh Agarwal in 2013. The startup was started from a single hotel to over 8500 hotels at present. It is the fastest growing network of hotels, offline and online.

It operates in more than 800 cities in 80 countries, including the US, Europe, UK, India, Malaysia, Middle East, Indonesia, Philippines, and Japan.

This is part of OYO’s efforts to further enhance its expansion plans, improve customer experience and ensure an increase in continued asset owner success, the company added.
