Vivo, the official sponsorers of the FIFA world cup has launched a dedicated Vivo X20 smartphone for the month-long sports extravaganza. This will be the official smartphone for the FIFA World cup Russia, which is happening in 2018. So, we are expecting to see this device with every eligible football player of the qualified teams.

The smartphone offers the similar matt black all-metal unibody design on the back, but, the only difference is the fact that, now the device has an engraved FIFA World cup logo on the back in a shiny white paint job. The company haven’t disclosed anything related to the price tag, but the device is most likely to retail similar to the original Vivo X20 price tag.

Vivo X20 is a flagship smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker. However, the device is not a true flagship smartphone and offers latest features, but they are not the best in the market. Here are the complete tech specifications of the Vivo X20.

Just like the most of the premium mid-tier smartphones, the Vivo X20 offers a premium 6.01-inch bezel-less OLED display with FHD+ resolution. The display uses a taller 18:9 aspect ratio with the 2160x1080p pixels dense display. This display is paired with Qualcomm’s second-best Snapdragon 660 Mobile Solution with 4 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB).

One has to take a note that, the phone offers a hybrid slot, which means one has to compromise the dual SIM card slot in favour of the SD card slot. However, the dual nano-SIM card slots do support 4G LTE and VoLte capability and come with other standard features like Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, and WiFi Hotspot. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back for easy access. The phone does offer full sized 3.5 mm headphone jack as well.

Moving on to the camera, the phone offers a dual camera setup module. The main 12 MP shooter with F/1.8 aperture is paired with a 5 MP depth sensing sensor to offer photos with bokeh effect. For the selfie camera, the phone offers a 12 MP shooter with F/2.0 aperture. In terms of video recording capability, the main camera can shoot up to 4K resolution and the front-facing selfie camera is limited to 1080p up to 30 frames per second.

The Vivo X20 runs on a custom version of Android Nougat 7.1.2 OS and there is no information about the future software updates what so ever. Finally, the smartphone offers a 3250 mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capability via micro USB port with USB OTG. The smartphone retails in Europe for 390 euros (which is roughly about (₹ 28,000).

So, what is your opinion on the Vivo X20 FIFA World cup edition?
