Google Duo starts supporting group video call on chrome

Google Duo recently got some new features to its platform. Now, Google is adding another feature to widen its platform. Web users can now use Google Duo for group video calling.

As said by the company this feature will be available in the coming weeks and as a preview will be available on chrome. Also, new layouts will help users to make a video call with more people at a time.

Google says” To make getting together easier, you’ll also be able to invite anyone with a Google account to join a group call with just a link. This new family mode is available when signed into Duo with your Google account,” the company said on Friday. “We’re also rolling out more effects and masks that help you express yourself, from wearing heart glasses to transforming into a flower.”

As said by the company the platform is also getting some effects and masks. The family mode will allow users to doodle on video calls for everyone to see and surprise them with fun effects and masks. When people will be playing together the company will be hiding mutes or hang-up buttons to eliminate the interruption. Last month Google rolled out a new video codec technology to improve call quality and reliability.

Google has also increased the number of participants for video calling in Duo from 8 to 12. The company also has an idea of increasing the number of participants still further.
