Islamabad, Sep 3: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Monday Islamabad would not make use of its nuclear power first in the midst of escalating tensions with India following the scrapping of Article 370 that offered special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing individuals of the visiting Sikh pilgrims in eastern Lahore city, Khan said, “We both are nuclear-armed countries. If these tensions increase, the world could be in danger,” adding, “There will be no first from our side ever,” he said.

According to TOI, Khan has so far attempted to gain global attention over Pakistan’s global diplomatic campaign criticizing New Delhi’s move, blaming Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for committing atrocities and human right breaches in the valley.

The Pakistan prime minister has also stated frequently any major misadventure between two nuclear-armed neighbours could endanger the globe.
