Audi’s flagship luxury sedan – the all-new Audi A8 L has finally arrived in India in two trim levels. The first one is obviously, Technology that cost Rs.1.5 Crores and the other one is a limited-run Celebration Edition that comes with a tag price of Rs.1.2 Crores (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Exterior and Design
On the front, the new A8 L feels more classy. The older grille has gone and the new single-frame unit now feels wider and richer all because of the chrome finishing. Flanked by world-class Digital Matrix LED headlamps, the front end has been enhanced to look more mature than ever. Coming to the rear end, the OLED taillamps now does a full swipe at the beginning as well as when we switch off the car. Sold in 8 different shades globally, Audi is planning to bring all eight of them to the Indian market as well.
Interior
It is one of the most luxurious cabins indeed and to enhance the overall vibe again, Audi has reworked interiors with some crucial features. For starters, the 2022 Audi A8 L comes with 30-colours ambient lighting, Bang & Olufsen surround sound system, three big screens, a head-up display and massage function on all four seats as standard.

Engine
Under the hood, the 2022 A8 L still remains similar to the outgoing model. The updated luxury car still features a powerful 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine that comes combined with a 48V mild-hybrid setup. Surprisingly, the overall output now stands at a massive 340 horsepower and 500Nm pushing the big sedan to clock a triple-digit speed in just 5.7 seconds.
The carmaker has confirmed that the car will also get the Quattro all-wheel drive along with adaptive suspensions on all four ends.
Safety
Safety is crucial and who else could have done it better than a German brand. For starters, Audi has equipped the new A8 L with 8 airbags. Still not convinced? You can upgrade it with optional central airbags and the number now stands at 10. The luxury carmaker has even added the brand’s Pre-Sense Basic which gets activated in case the car predicts an upcoming collision. For further safety, a set of preventive self-tightening seat belts and Audi’s Park Assist Plus are also a part of the equipment’s list.
Other benefits
Audi has even decided to play around with the after-sales benefits. As a result, the new A8 L is now available with a 5-year standard warranty that can be extended for up to 7 years. The roadside assistance is similar to the standard warranty. However, if the buyer can pay a little extra, he/she can get the roadside assistance extended for up to 10 years. There’s even a 3-year comprehensive service package that one can check out on the brand’s official website or at the time of their visit to the dealership.
