Kawasaki was planning to launch the updated BS6 Kawasaki Z900 in India for a very long time. However, the launch of the BS6 Kawasaki Z900 was due, all because of the ongoing pandemic. The company has launched the updated Kawasaki Z900 with a price tag of ₹7.99 lakhs. The price of the all-new Z900 gets a hike of just ₹30,000. To rationalize the word ‘just’, the Japanese manufacturer earlier announced the price hike to be somewhere near ₹75,000. However, Kawasaki has done a commendable job in keeping the price under check.

The Z900 comes with a 948cc, four-cylinder engine which is obviously a BS6 compliant. It produces 124BHP of power along with 99Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the gearbox paired to this engine is a 6-speed unit with assist and slipper clutch. The most exciting part about the BS6 Kawasaki Z900 is that even with the update as per the stricter emission norm, the bike does not face any reduction in the power figure.

However, the 900cc Japanese motorcycle now gets an all-LED headlamp and a 4.3-inch TFT instrument console. The new TFT instrument console replaces the older semi-digital instrument cluster. Meanwhile, the instrument console supports smartphone connectivity via the Rideology App to toggle through different ride modes and information. The ride modes on offer with the Kawasaki Z900 are – Road, Rain, Rider and Sport. Other features such as the Kawasaki Traction Control that offers a three-level traction mode and two different power modes make the ride more preference oriented.

Meanwhile, Kawasaki Z900 comes with a two-color scheme, precisely the Metallic Graphite Grey and Candy Lime Green.

Kawasaki Z900 in India competes with the Triumph Street Triple R and BMW F 900 R for the 900cc throne. However, with an attractive price tag, Kawasaki Z900 is more affordable when compared to the Triumph Street Triple R. The Street Triple R costs around ₹8.84 lakhs in India.
