The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Thursday has instructed the Uttar Pradesh Government to frame guidelines within six months to prevent malpractices or inappropriate atmosphere in the premises of the institutions.

The High Court instructed the state government to consider the recommendations made by the University Vice-Chancellor last October to scrap the malpractices occurring at universities, colleges, and other institutions.

Judges Vikram Nath and Rajesh Singh Chauhan passed this order after the PIL, which the court registered itself after the act of vandalism that occurred at Lucknow University on July 4, 2018.

Dismission the Petition, the court said that it provides a huge amount of funds to the universities and educational institutions, but still none of the meritorious students have been witnessed.

In the recommendations made by the Lucknow University vice-chancellor SP Singh stated that demonstrations in the premises should be done after the permission of the Vice-Chancellor or the district administration.

Singh recommended that the security audit that was earlier conducted by the university officials should now collaborate with local police for effective security. He also recommended that the proctor should be provided more powers in order to curb rowdy behavior by students towards freshers.
