A fresh academic calendar for the upcoming 11th and 12th grades has been released by the Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal. NCERT developed this calendar as per the center’s guidelines. The minister tweeted that this calendar has more schedules and instructions pertaining to the online mode of education.

The curriculum also supports the differently-abled students by providing the necessary audiobooks, radio programs, video programme etc. The minister added to the note that this type of education will initiate the students and schools to continue the academics despite the coronavirus pandemic.

The tweet read

“Released The Alternative Academic Calendar for Classes XI and XII developed by @ncert today!

Previously NCERT has released the calendar for all the classes. The subjects will be published through week-wise plans. The calendar will be circulated through DTH channels and through a video conferencing with SCERTs, Directorates of Education, SCERTs, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, CBSE, State School Education Boards, etc.

This view was taken into consideration to help the students in their academic career. They have taken this judgment as it was seen that reopening of schools will be delayed. The pandemic shouldn’t affect the student’s career, said an official. Quality contents will be made available for the students.

As per the current situation, the schools will be first opened for classes 9 to 12. The students will be entertained with all the safety measures taking into account. The lower classes will still be suspended for at least 3 more months. As for college students are concerned, the existing batches will commence from mid of July, and the new admissions will take place from September.
