Priyanka Chopra and Anurag Kashyap are India’s ambassadors at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This news is old now and everyone knows. Chopra is even grateful to be a part of the festival and has now called it, as her second home.
She took to Instagram and posted a series of photos in the form of a video, she also wrote about her time at the previous editions of the festival. In her note, she thanked the artistic director and co-head of TIFF, Cameron Bailey. She praised him for bringing content from all over the world.
Priyanka has been a part of the festival for a long time now. She had her Northeastern film ‘Pahuna : The Little Visitors’ screened at the festival in 2017. Last year, her film ‘The Sky Is Pink’ also screened at the festival. It starred her alongside Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
The festival will be held virtually due to the Coronavirus. The red carpet and screening, all will be virtual. The organizers have planned to screen 50 films in physical theatres during its first five days. Though, the screenings will take place with social-distancing norms.
Its schedule is from 10 to 19 September.
Joining Priyanka and Anurag are renowned filmmakers and actors such as Martin Scorsese, Alfonso Cuaron, Taika Waititi, Ava DuVernay, Rian Johnson, Denis Villeneuve, and Nicole Kidman, Nadine Labaki, Riz Ahmed, Isabelle Huppert, Zhang Ziyi this year.
