Nokia 6.1 plus (Nokia X6 in China) is expected to launch on August 21 in India. The company making Nokia smartphones- HMD Global started to send out media invites for an event on August 21st. The invite doesn’t mention any particular information on device launching but it has mentioned it’s going to be a “big unveil”.The Nokia 5.1 Plus and the Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 8110 4G might also make an appearance.
After the Nokia X6’s launch in China, the phone has attracted a lot of interest around the markets worldwide. Since HMD’s confirmation about a global launch for the smartphone, there have been a few silent developments. A couple of global models recently received Bluetooth certification. Nokia’s international website also listed the device for some time. Above all, a support page for the device has gone live on the Nokia India website.
Nokia 6.1 Plus Features and Specifications
Nokia 6.1 Plus will be the first of Nokia phones to have a top Notch Display. It will feature a 5.8-inch full-HD+ display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The device will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and also on Android 8.1 Oreo. It is a dual rear camera setup with a 16 MP plus 5 MP and also has a 16 MP front camera. The Nokia 6.1 Plus 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 400GB). In terms of connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone packs a 3060mAh battery.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus price in the Hong Kong market is HKD 2,288 (roughly ₹20,100). In comparison, the Nokia X6 costs CNY 1,299 (roughly ₹13,800), the 4GB RAM/32GB storage variant and CNY 1,499 (roughly ₹16,000) for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant was priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly ₹18,100). We would know the actual price only after its official launch.
