Studio Wildcard’s Ark: Survival Evolved is getting a new chapter Ark: Genesis as the company announced the upcoming chapter today with details. Ark: Genesis will be released in two chapters featuring new biomes and a new mission-based game mechanic. One chapter is scheduled to be released in December this year and the next chapter has been speculated to release in the winter of 2020.

Ark: Genesis brings in some really exciting features with it. New creatures will be added wherein you can tame them too. Giant island-sized sea turtles will be there alongside Shapeshifters as shown in the below trailer:

 

Ark: Survival Evolved is a survival game in which players are dropped without any clothes and weaponry in a world of dinosaurs, monsters, and varieties of incredible beasts. As a player progresses, he tames an army of beasts while adventuring all around the map.

Patch notes for today’s ARK Survival Evolved update have been shared by Studio Wildcard and can be found below:

  • Fixed Xbox dedicated server failing to save on Valguero
  • Fixed issue with invisible Ice Wyverns on Valguero
  • Fixed issue with Ice Wyvern eggs appearing as boxes
  • Fixed occasional invisible brood mother
  • Longneck Rifle armor penetration increased by 40%
  • Fabricated Sniper Rifle armor penetration increased by 25%
  • Ice Titan freeze ability reduced to 12 seconds
  • Plant Y trap time reduced to 10 seconds
  • Shadow Steak Saute light sensitivity removed
  • Forest Titan can no longer grab targets through Tek Shields
