The new iPhone SE has not got the Face ID feature but the rest of the iPhones from X to 11 pro-Max have got Face ID feature. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 whole world is forced to wear face masks. So, Face ID remains useless when we will be wearing face masks.

Apple has also thought about it and is bringing updates in Face ID. Yes, the latest developer version of iOS 13.5 will make you easier to unlock without removing your face mask. New version iOS 13.5 is expected to release in the coming weeks.

Robert Petersen and Guilherme Rambo shared some videos on twitter which shows how the phone will be unlocked. The device will go back to the passcode entry screen if it detects a mask. It not only helps your phone unlock many times a day but is also helpful for you to keep safe by not provoking to remove your mask while unlocking. Hence keeps the users safe during this outbreak of COVID-19.

However, it’s not known whether this feature will land in the final version of the software update. One feature that is going to be included in the new version is Contact Tracing App. This contact tracing app is jointly built by Apple and Google. This app will allow national health authorities to build their apps that can help users privately and anonymously find out if they’ve been exposed to someone with coronavirus.
