4th Industrial Revolution coming - The Indian Wire

The Vice-President of India, Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday said, “We need to train our young generation for the upcoming 4th Industrial Revolution in fields of Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Big Data and the Internet of Things.”

He added, “The Future Depends on Innovation and Technology, we need to prep our children for the technological challenges ahead of us,” while attending the FICCI ARISE conference in New Delhi about ‘School Education in India’ on Tuesday.

He further said, “I support adding general studies in the academics of schools and colleges of India. He further said these general studies are important for teaching our children at an early age, the respect and empathy for people of all genders.”

He reminded everyone that education is not just about empowerment but the enlightenment of individuals and society. He encouraged education institutions to inculcate value-based education with honesty, patience, respect, tolerance, and empathy imbibed in them.

He expressed his gratitude for increasing capacity in the Higher Education sector in 20 years but his concern with declining employment.

He talked about NEP (New Economic Policy) and how it is the need of the future and how teachers need to reform their training and teaching system.

He ended his speech by emphasizing the need of bringing in ‘Out of School’ children back to the schools.
