As of now, PUBG Mobile now has 200 million users and about 30 million active daily users. Following PUBG Mobile’s success, Call of Duty: Mobile arrived on October 1. Ever since Call of Duty: Mobile arrived, it hasn’t disappointed the mobile gaming fans in any way and even hit 20 million downloads in just 3 days. And now, it seems like the hugely popular PC and console title ‘Apex Legends’ might be the next hit to make its way into the mobile gaming industry.
During the recent EA’s Q2 2020 earnings call, the company’s CEO Andrew Wilson has revealed that the mobile version will be available in the 2021 fiscal year. Wilson said, “With the Apex Legends community now growing pass 70 million players, we’re focused on expanding to mobile new platforms and new geographies, as well as launching and Apex competitive gaming program that we’ll share details on soon.”
Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment are reportedly working on a mobile version of its Apex Legends. Moreover, EA plans to bring the title to the mobile platform sometime in the 2021 fiscal year.
With the announcement of a mobile version for Apex Legends, Wilson further said that the Battle Royale title will also be planned for the next-gen gaming consoles namely, PlatStation 5 and Xbox Project Scarlett.
